1. Land Cover Calibration: The number of urban - rural air photo transects
will be expanded from six (Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Portland(OR), Las Vegas, and Sacramento)
to thirteen through the addition of transects across Boston, New York, Miami, Minneapolis,
Denver, Phoenix, and Seattle. The total number of callibration photos will be expanded from 46 to 80.
2. Finalize Model of Impervious Surface Percent Cover: Through inclusion of the results from
the additional airphotos NGDC will finalize the 1 km grid model of the percent cover of impervious surfaces.
